A Culture of Coaching

Coaching builds trust and respect between teammates through an understanding that, while there’s a high level of accountability, that person is deeply invested in helping you grow. Its extends, then, to how teammates grow relationships with our clients and independently grow as professionals...as people. Coaching people is something that should be done constantly and strategically to raise the ability level of everyone around us. While done constantly, it should also be done with the goal of getting someone up to a certain level, on specific tasks, so that they can do those tasks on their own at a high-level eventually. Coaching also teaches and reinforces what actions and details should be focused on the most—which are the most impactful to do extremely well. Coaching should empower the teammates to problem solve independently and learn the process or system that allows them to do a specific function.
